About our Group

Formerly known as Thanet Community Gospel Choir, we've chosen a shorter name. We're a performance group following a musical tradition that is over a century old. And, just like our namesake, the Fisk Jubilee Singers, our aim is to share this music with a wide audience. We also perform popular music that has been inspired by the Gospel tradition. All our songs are uplifting and provide a positive experience for performers and audience.

As Thanet Jubilee Singers, our aim is to be more inclusive and rely less on soloists. We also want to focus more on the health benefits of singing in a choir; especially our style of uplifting music!

Feeling good is what we're all about and our rehearsals are a great opportunity for people to meet and socialise along with learning the repertoire and mastering new skills. All of our music provides opportunities to sing in harmony and the power of our blended voices is a very satisfying experience. When performing, you'll forget your troubles and just enjoy the moment. In addition to rehearsals and performing in the community, we often go out together socially. It's great to be part of a group that is supportive and inclusive.
